About the Beach
What is Praia do Norte Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Mafra.
Praia do Norte Beach, also known as Praia do Algodio Beach, has a sand of medium dimensions that is situated in the sea front of Ericeira town. The sea is generally agitated.
On top of the north cliff arises the Capela de São Sebastião1 and to the south, the shore is bounded by a pier of about 400 meters long belonging to Ericeira's safe haven facilities.
This beach is very much sought by surf lovers.
There's a small support car parking in the opposite side of the sea front road.
