It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Mafra.

Praia do Matadouro Beach discloses a medium extension strip of sand in the central area, flanked at north and south by rocks.
In the middle of the sand the Ribeira da Fonte Boa1 flows calmly into the sea.
During low tide, a natural pool is formed in a slab of large dimensions.
This beach is located beside Estrada Nacional 2472 and in the surroundings of Parque de Campismo da Ericeira3.
