About the Beach
What is Praia de Canide (Sul) Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia.
Praia de Canide (South) Beach, also known as Praia de Canidelo (South) Beach, displays an extensive sand that is north bounded by a pier. To the south one finds the Ribeira de Canide1.
The usually rough sea looks always inviting and challenging for surfers.
Access to the beach is done by a network of wooden walkways coming from Avenida Beira Mar2 and providing protection to the dune system in the north and central areas.
