About the Beach

What is Praia das Escaleiras Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Lagoa.

Praia das Escaleiras Beach is located in a very narrow cove where the cliff's ends taper over one another. The sand is extremely small and assumes the shape of a seashell.
At the cliff top, palm trees from Pestana Viking Resort bring a tropical perfume to this place. In the west face of the cliff there's a grotto.
The access is only possible by sea.
