About the Beach

What is Praia do Penedo Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Aljezur.

Praia do Penedo Beach has a very lbroad sand located in the mouth of a small valley.
The existing dune system goes through the valley and spreads to east.
This remote beach is much appreciated by surfers.
When the rainfall increases, a small stream begins to flow.
The access is achieved while exiting Estrada Nacional 2681 to west. The road ends in the south neighboring beach. From here, one has to walk about 600 meters towards north.
