The coastline of Odemira has 50 oceanic beaches — 7 beaches supported with lifeguard during its bathing season and 43 wild beaches.

The Federação Portuguesa de Naturismo ranked Praia dos Alteirinhos Beach as Official Naturist Beach. However, bathers also go to Praia dos Nascedios Beach, Praia do Malhão (Centro) Beach, Praia do Carreiro das Fazendas Beach, Praia das Furnas Beach, Praia do Brejo Largo Beach, Praia da Foz dos Ouriços Beach and Praia da Meia Laranja Beach to practice naturism.

Along the shoreline of this county is the parish of Vila Nova de Milfontes, Longueira/Almograve, São Teotónio (Norte), Zambujeira do Mar and São Teotónio (Sul).

If you want to visit special protected areas you can go to Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina.

Usually, bathing season begins on June 15 and ends on September 15.
