About the Beach

What is Praia do Machado Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Odemira.

Praia do Machado Beach presents a very long sand that gets extremely small during high tide.
The steep cliff surrounds all the beach and the descendant trail at the central area is not very easy to find. The difficulty of the access is rewarded with the magnificent sight of a waterfall.
It's best to take the last dirt road through Brejão village beside an isolated house, right before arriving the north neighboring beach.
