About the Beach
What is Praia da Foz dos Ouriços Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Odemira.
Praia da Foz dos Ouriços Beach, also known as Praia da Foz Beach, displays a funnel shaped sand that gets wider towards the sea line. It's located in the mouth of a small valley and acquired its name for being here the place where the Ribeira da Foz dos Ouriços1 empties.
The cliffs surrounding the sand hold several dune systems on its top.
This beach is a small paradise, hidden at the surroundings of Almograve village.
